This classic image depicts a scene where three wolves are howling into a full moon. This carving design is set in a desert scene with a Joshua Tree cactus in the background. Not only would this design be great for a pumpkin on halloween, it will also make a great wood carving. With some adaptation it could easily be made into a gorgeous cover for a garden pathway lantern. Since this design is not primarily focused on halloween, using it for a garden lantern will allow your friends and family to enjoy it all year round.

With its panoramic effect, this lantern design is well suited to a larger pumpkin. The design features an image of a large wolf up front and then a smaller wolf on a higher ledge in the background. If done on a large enough canvas this design should be fairly easy for a moderately talented craftsman. If done on too small of a pumpkin the intricate detail might make it just a bit difficult. For this design we reccomend you get a big pumpkin and blow up the pattern.
