Carved Lanterns

The easy tom cat stencil is the easiest to carve stencil in our library. Its a pretty basic design that is well suited to the younger children in your family. All of the parts are connected to the edges in thick bridges. There are not any really fine details that would prevent this design from working well on any size pumpkin.

A Jaguar on the prowl takes the cat stencil and beefs it up. Still one of the easier stencils in our library, it just feels more intense. Inspired by the mascot of our local high school the jaguar sketch we came up with is ferocious yet sleek. This design is best on a pumpkin that is wider than it is tall. The tail of the Jaguar is a bit thin so be careful when carving it. Our Jaguar is pretty basic and should be easy for anyone with a steady hand to finish.
